Because Old Guy Web Works is intentionally small, I don't have the overhead of a large development company, a sales department, or layers of people between you and the person building your website. My goal isn't to sell you things you don't need. If a simple website is enough for your business, that's what I'll recommend. If there is a better or more efficient way to accomplish something, I'll tell you. And if you need help making changes six months after your site goes live, you won't have to start over with someone who has never seen your website before.

How We Work

Payment Structure

I keep the payment process simple and spread payments throughout the project so you can see the work progressing before the final payment is due.

  • 25% deposit to begin the project
  • 50% at the midpoint, when the basic website structure and initial pages are complete
  • 25% final payment before the website is published

You'll have the opportunity to review the website throughout the process and provide feedback along the way. The goal is to make sure there are no surprises when we reach the final payment.

Payment Methods

I currently accept the following payment methods:

  • PIX — for customers in Brazil
  • Zelle — for customers in the United States
  • Ko-fi — an additional online payment option

At this time, I do not accept credit or debit cards.

You Own Your Website

Once your website is completed and paid in full, you own the website. You'll receive the website files and custom code created for your project. There is no proprietary lock-in.

If you decide to stop using my maintenance service later, the website is still yours. You can maintain it yourself or have another developer make changes for you.

Ownership applies to the custom website files and code created for your project. Third-party materials such as stock images, fonts, or libraries may be subject to their own licensing terms.

What Happens Next

  1. You contact me to discuss your website.
  2. We discuss your needs and agree on the project scope.
  3. You pay the 25% deposit and work begins.
  4. You review the website as it develops and provide feedback.
  5. We make the final adjustments.
  6. You pay the remaining balance and your website is published.

The process is straightforward, and you'll know what is happening at each stage. My goal is to make building a website as simple and comfortable as possible.
